Fogging gets the credit, but as a technician I will tell you honestly that larviciding is what keeps a property clear. Aedes mosquitoes — the dengue carriers — breed in tiny amounts of clean standing water: a saucer under a plant pot, a blocked roof gutter, the folds of a pool cover, a forgotten bucket. Each female lays in several spots and the eggs hatch within days. If you only fog, you are mowing the lawn while the seeds keep germinating. I survey every water-holding feature on a property, treat what cannot be emptied, and show the owner what to remove. That source reduction is the single most effective thing anyone can do against dengue.

BTI Biological Larvicide

Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis — a naturally occurring soil bacterium that kills mosquito larvae but is harmless to fish, pets, people and beneficial insects. Ideal for ponds and water features.

IGR Growth Regulators

Insect growth regulators (such as pyriproxyfen) dosed into drains and standing water stop larvae from maturing into biting adults, with very long residual action.

Full Breeding-Site Survey

We check ponds, drains, gutters, plant saucers, pool covers, AC trays and bromeliads — the small hidden sites are usually the worst offenders.

Source-Reduction Advice

A short written list of what to empty, cover or fix so fewer breeding sites remain between visits — the highest-value, no-cost part of the job.

How the Treatment Works

  1. Property survey

    We walk the whole property logging every site that holds water, from the obvious pond to the saucer you forgot about.

  2. Treat what stays

    BTI in ornamental and fish ponds, IGR in drains and untreatable standing water, dosed by volume — not guessed.

  3. Remove what can go

    We point out containers, blocked gutters and covers to empty or fix; eliminating a site beats treating it.

  4. Schedule re-treatment

    BTI lasts roughly 2–4 weeks; on a monthly plan we re-dose on each visit so larvae never catch up.

Pricing in IDR

A standalone larvicide treatment for a typical villa starts from IDR 300,000, depending on the number and size of water features. It is most effective combined with adult fogging on the same visit, and is included in every monthly protection plan. Full rates on the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will larvicide harm the fish in my pond?
No, if we use BTI — it targets only mosquito and blackfly larvae and is harmless to fish, frogs, pets and people at label dose. We always use the fish-safe option in stocked ponds and tell you which product goes where.
How is this different from fogging?
Fogging kills adult flying mosquitoes now; larviciding stops the next generation from ever hatching. Used together they break the cycle — fog for fast relief, larvicide for lasting control. We explain the difference on our timing guide.
How long does it last?
BTI lasts roughly 2–4 weeks; IGR growth regulators last considerably longer in drains. In wet season we re-treat every couple of weeks because rain creates new breeding sites constantly.
What can I do myself between visits?
